Nowadays, we're confronted with the violence of climate change and yet we dream of living in virtual worlds and continue to deny the harsh reality. Are we going to wake up in time or do we prefer to enjoy the pleasures of wonderland until the end ?

In this virtual sanctuary is gathered a portrait series that questions the destiny of our digital lives once we´ll have abandoned the virtual to embrace reality. Our civilisation is on the verge to collapse, and we seek for refuge in virtual realms where an illusion of tranquility awaits, with no gravity and no climate change.

We live in a pleasant era of humanity, with perspectives of digital immortality and endless possibilities, but we shall not forget the tangible essence of those infinite worlds. Once the seas will be dried and the lands will be burned, virtual worlds too shall crumble into ruins.

It is with nostalgia of an eternal future that I have laid my virtual muses to rest in a digital sanctuary — a tribute to their ethereal existence on an ephemeral land.
